Schedule Profiles to Wash and Clean Automatically (Profile Automation)
With the wide range of automation options offered by Total Privacy 5.5, it couldn't
be easier to protect your sensitive data and keep your system in perfect working
order. The collection of Profile Automation options available will take care
of everything for you automatically, so you can just sit back, safe and content
in the knowledge that your privacy and computer activity is being well guarded by
Total Privacy.
The Profile Automation Panel
Total Privacy allows you to automate your washing and cleaning by two methods
- by scheduling for a specific time and frequency or by scheduling to run when a
specific system event (or events) occur.
To Schedule a Wash and Cleaning Profile to Run at a Specific Time
Click on the Profiles tab of the Total Privacy Welcome Screen and
note the Profile Automation Panel (as per screenshot above).
Select the name of the Profile that you want to schedule and automate so
that it is highlighted.
Check the Schedule selected Profile to run at a specific time checkbox.
To set up your automatic washing and cleaning frequency, click on the 'Change
Settings' button and the Properties screen Schedule tab will be displayed
(as at right).
On this tab, select the frequency, time, days to wash and clean automatically
as you prefer.
The Settings tab contains additional options to control your washing
and cleaning routine. Click on the Settings tab to set options for deleting
or stopping the scheduled task (should it not complete within a set time, for
example), choose to run automatic washes only when or if your computer is idle
or only if your computer is running on mains power (rather than batteries).
Click on the 'OK' button when finished choosing all options.
To Schedule a Washing and Cleaning Profile to Run Upon a Specific System Event
Profile Automation - Set Schedule
Follow steps 1-3 above.
Check the Schedule selected Profile to run on a specific event checkbox.
To set up your washing and cleaning to run automatically when system events
occur, click on the 'Change Settings' button and the Session Wash
Settings screen will be displayed (as at right).
On this tab, select the events for which you want to run washes when they
occur. Check the relevant checkbox to run washes when…
Windows starts.
Windows shuts down.
Note: Because it is impossible to know whether the
user is fully shutting down windows or just restarting, you need
to select the action to take after completion of your automated
wash. Choose from…
Wash,
then show the Windows shutdown prompt
Wash,
then restart Windows
Wash,
then shutdown Windows
When any of Internet Explorer, Netscape/Mozilla/FireFox, AOL or Opera
browsers close.
Click on the 'OK' button when finished choosing all options.
Note: Total Privacy must be running in order to detect and capture
these system events and automatically start scheduled washes.
